How do I choose a bookkeeper?

First and foremost, does the bookkeeper have the following accreditation:

A contract bookkeeper needs to be a Registered BAS Agent.

If you already have a contract bookkeeper, ensure they are registered.

If not, then we strongly suggest you encourage them to become one or, you may need to look for a new bookkeeper who is a registered BAS Agent.

Most of the software we work with is in the cloud, although we can also service desktop based apps.  However, the ATO is developing a cloud standard, so desktop based apps will become outdated in the future.
